Pattison Media Kamloops is looking to add an outstanding journalist to our award-winning CFJC newsroom.

The ideal candidate will have a keen sense of curiosity and an ability to identify and develop stories. We are searching for an individual who can produce and present their stories with creativity and professionalism. Strong social media skills would be an added bonus.

The successful candidate will be expected to arrange and conduct interviews, produce daily news stories as well as more in-depth features on a wide range of subjects. They will need to work well individually and as a teammate in our experienced newsroom. Their role will include producing and presenting stories for radio, television and online audiences.

Candidates should have:

• Outstanding writing and presentation skills
• The ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
• Excellent oral communication
• An attitude supporting teaching, learning and teamwork
• A valid class 5 driver’s licence
• A broadcast school diploma (bonus)
• Video shooting and editing skills (bonus)
• Eligible to work full-time in Canada
