Digital Ad Coordinator

Alberta or BC

Workplace: Hybrid / Remote.

This role typically requires on-site work, 2–3 days per week. Fully remote candidates located in Western Canada will also be considered.

About the Role

The Pattison Media Digital Ad Ops team is seeking a Digital Ad Coordinator to join them with a clear and focused responsibility: coordinating and trafficking digital ad placements for Pattison-owned websites and digital properties.

This is a hands-on execution role, centered on coordinating campaigns within our publisher ad server (Ad Butler). You will work closely with Sales and Creative Services to ensure ads are set up correctly, creative is loaded accurately, and campaigns launch on time and according to specification.

While this role may occasionally support the broader Ad Ops team with other platforms or tools, the core focus is Owned & Operated inventory execution, not campaign strategy, optimization, or buying. This position is well suited to someone who values structure, consistency, and accuracy, and who takes pride in keeping digital campaigns running smoothly behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities (Owned & Operated Execution)
  • Work with Creative Services through internal systems to:
  1. Receive approved creative assets.
  2. Load, assign, and quality-check creative within Ad Butler.
  3. Ensure correct creative rotation, dimensions, formats, and delivery settings.
  • Finalize and coordinate digital ad placements within Ad Butler for Pattison-owned websites and digital properties.
  • Confirm campaign setup against digital orders, specifications, and targeting requirements generated through internal order systems.
  • Create and configure ad placements when required and ensure proper alignment with inventory structure.
  • Conduct QA: Perform pre-launch and post-launch quality assurance to ensure campaigns are serving correctly.
  • Troubleshoot: Resolve delivery issues related to creative, placement configuration, or system dependencies.
  • Reporting: Ensure campaign deliverables are communicated back to Sales.
Secondary Responsibilities (Ad Ops Team Support)
  • Support the Ad Ops team with campaign execution or troubleshooting within ad buying platforms when appropriate.
  • Assist with pacing checks, delivery validation, and issue resolution as needed.
  • Escalate technical or inventory-related issues appropriately and contribute to resolution documentation.
  • Support process improvements and documentation related to digital trafficking workflows.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience in Digital Ad Operations, Ad Trafficking, or Campaign Execution.
  • Hands-on experience with ad serving platforms (Ad Butler experience is a strong asset).
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of digital ad formats, placement structures, and delivery mechanics.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional precision and accuracy in high-volume environments.
  • Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
Nice-to-Have Assets
  • Experience supporting programmatic or DSP-based ad campaigns.
  • Exposure to owned-and-operated digital inventory models.
  • Understanding of digital advertising measurement fundamentals (impressions, delivery, pacing, etc.).
  • Experience documenting workflows or contributing to operational best practices.
We’ll Take Care of You

As part of Pattison Digital, you’ll be supported with:

  • Competitive compensation.
  • Regular feedback, coaching, and performance check-ins.
  • Extended health and dental benefits, including a Health Spending Account.
