Announcer / Hockey Play-By-Play

Port Alberni, BC

The Island Radio Division of Pattison Media Ltd.has an exciting opening for a full-time Announcer/Hockey Play-By-Play person in Port Alberni, BC.

Responsibilities:

• The on-air shifts will include weekdays on our Classic Hits/Hot AC station 93.3 The Peak.
• The hockey play-by-play will be all regular season and playoff games for the Alberni Valley Bulldogs of the BCHL.
• You will also be involved in social media, remotes, MCing, event hosting, commercial voicing, voice-tracking (on 93.3 The Peak and our other Pattison Media radio stations) and all the other regular duties of an announcer.
• You will be working in the Music Department and with Music Master daily.

Qualifications:

• Proven track record of listener engagement and community involvement (on air, in person, and on social media).
• Previous broadcast play-by-play experience.
• Experience in Music Master and Wide Orbit Automation are assets.
• You are creative, quick, efficient, organized and have a sense of humour.
• You want to live on Canada’s west coast. Port Alberni is one of the most affordable places to live, work and play on spectacular Vancouver Island.
• You have a valid driver’s license.
