News Journalist

Pattison Media Kamloops Division is seeking to add a Journalist to our award-winning CFJC newsroom.
The ideal candidate will have a keen sense of curiosity and an ability to identify and develop stories. We are searching for an individual who can produce their stories with creativity and professionalism. Strong social media skills will help to develop our online presence.
The winning candidate will be expected to arrange and conduct interviews, produce daily news stories as well as more in-depth features on a wide range of subjects. They will need to work well individually and as a teammate in our experienced newsroom. Their role will include producing stories for radio, television, and online consumption.
Candidates should have:
- Outstanding writing skills
- The ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Excellent oral communication
- Time management skills
- Display a willingness to take initiative
- A valid class 5 driver’s licence
- A broadcast school diploma (bonus)
- Video shooting and editing skills (bonus)
